Tax Time! Tax Time!

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars February 19, 2010

I can't believe somebody actually did this.

And how! The mere concept is hilarious enough, but the execution was brilliant. Loved it when the smiley-face on the building turned into a frown.

I applaud the timeliness of your satire.

Great fight, control scheme can go screw itself

Awesome fight. Some really inventive attacks, over the top graphics, fun ending, and all that goodness.

However, due to anti-ghosting on my keyboard, I can't move diagonally up-left while firing, which kills it. Could have been remedied with customizable controls. Also, the last attack dealt a bit too much damage, IMO.

So yeah.

Funniest thing I have seen in a long, long time.

At first it was so bad its good, but the sudden absurdity just pushed me over the edge, and then it somehow kept getting even MORE absurd, in different, unexpected ways; I was laughing so hard that my intakes of breath sounded like a broken squeaker.

Your best work yet.

There She Is!! final step There She Is!! final step

Rated 5 / 5 stars December 22, 2008

And so, the story finally comes to a close.

Nearly 4 years ago, I took a renewed interest in Newgrounds, finding many of the flashes on the front page, and in the top 50 to be highly entertaining.

But what was that at the very top? None other than the first "There She Is!!". I was hesitant at first, it seemed like a kiddy thing. Back then, the review system included an entry for violence, and most every single one had placed the lowest value there. But as soon as I watched it, all of that became irrelevant. The images before my eyes were touching, a beautiful story of a rabbit's quest to earn the love of her target, done to catchy music that I just couldn't get out of my head.

I was amazed. Truly, amazed. I voted 5 stars immediately, as I was prone to do on just about everything back then, but it deserved the mark far more than the others I that I had just passed my lax judgment on. I came back and voted again the next day as well, to make known this fact.

And I did so again the next day, and the day after that, watching the flash again every time I did so, reading each new review that came in, even down voting the flashes nearest to it so that There She Is would stay the top submission.

The time came when I felt I needed to make a review myself. I had to profess my love for the flash to the author personally! It was for that reason that I created my account, and saw to it that my voice was heard. I have been viewing newgrounds and its submissions on and off ever since, and for that reason I saw the second installment of your series, Cake Dance. There She Is had become a series, and I was overjoyed. I checked more often, I voted every day so that I could attain a higher voting average to better assist the rank of these amazing works.
With the third installment being roughly more of the same, and the fourth putting me on the edge of my seat, in anticipation of what was to be the last in a series that I had once believed to be a one-shot cartoon, I couldn't be happier.

Until this came out, that is. And now that we're finally here, I bow to you, SamBakZa, and your incredible talent. This was a fantastic finale to a series that had so captivated me as to open up the realm of Newgrounds to me ever since.

As the flash came full circle, so too does my involvement, with the simple desire to express my thanks for the experience you brought. Thank you SamBakZa. Thank you for the gift of this creative work that you have bestowed upon me, and all the rest of the people who view this site.

Just because the series has ended, I will not stop checking. Any work by you, is a work that is worth watching.

Everything was amazing.

So many cameos, so many great jokes, and the ending was incredible! I absolutely did NOT expect that. This may be my favorite flash movie of all time.

nice.

A great, if somewhat flawed flash.

Link's arms seemed unnaturally long in the first scene, his hair was one color... and at what point in the story did he get a metal sword? He was using a wooden one up until this episode.

But other than that, this was an epic flash.

NOT Tails and his GBA DX NOT Tails and his GBA DX

"I need to move on from sprite movies"

Meh. I had a twinge of hope when I saw the title...If you remember, I'm the guy who commented on the music from the first Tails GBA flash. Its a shame you decided to stop making them, but when I noticed the text above, I had a thought.

What forces you to make it a sprite movie?

If the reason for you moving away from this series is because you want to "move on' from sprite movies, then make a Tails GBA flash that you drew, or however you animate your stuff nowadays! That way, you can work on your animation skills, and please your fans, all at the same time.

And maybe, since it would be a graphical upgrade, it would be tails and his DS :P

RupeeClock responds:

The series is a sprite series, if I were to make another it would have to be a sprite movie, no exception.

I'm not interested in doing anything related to the GBA series anymore anyway.

Tails and his GBA 3 Tails and his GBA 3

I've waited so long for this, but it was worth it.

It's funny, how tails owned in megaman yet was completely helpless in pokemon. And as a reference to the review I posted in TahGBA2, yes, you have the wall jump in zero mission, and it's not gimped(unlike in fusion). Good effects, great sound, awesome story, and an overall good use of my time. 9/10

RupeeClock responds:

I dunno, I don't think you can wall jump outta that spot. :)
